One of my big new year's resolutions I made was "to do more art." I kind of split that into a few different little goals inside of that to make it easier to keep doing. One was to post weekly on my blog and one of the others was to do a sketch a day. I've been carrying a small moleskine notebook in my pocket for the past few years to keep lists, ideas, and notes. This year I started actually sketching in them. I've filled three since the start of this year and been thinking of starting a new blog to hold all those sketches. Here's a few that I scanned.

Love your use of contrast to form the image. I must also start to carry around a sketchbook!

Great sketches and good to have another sketchbook carrier. You'll be stunned at how much art you make carrying a pocket sketchbook with you. I get through a cheap Walmart Moleskine equivalent every three months now, drawing on the school run, in shopping and bank queues, at church and just about everywhere.

I love the whole idea of sketching everyday. I wish there was even more time to draw!
